Stephen Gethins MP says students have ‘best of all worlds’ at St Andrews
The University of St Andrews has been congratulated on being awarded the ‘best academic experience’ accolade in the UK following a high-profile poll of nearly half a million students.
The area’s MP, Stephen Gethins, said the results published by the National Student Survey are phenomenal but not surprising given the hard work being undertaken at the University to ensure students from all walks of life have the best possible teaching and learning experience during their time there.
Stephen Gethins MP said: “This is a great achievement and I am sure management, staff and students are rightfully proud of this recognition. You only have to spend time chatting to students or staff to realise how the partnership approach that the University has to education works well. Not only is the standard of teaching and support very high but the facilities available to students are first class and, combined with the wonderful historic town and stunning natural landscape, students at St Andrews really do have the best of all worlds.”
Mr Gethins added: “I am delighted for St Andrews and for the other Scottish universities which secured a place in the top 50 in the UK.”
