Westminster nomination – why am I standing?
I am grateful to SNP members for their support and encouragement over the past few days. It is clear that no one is in any doubt about the challenges facing our Party and how important next year’s election is.
Here are some thoughts about why I am putting my name forward for selection for a Westminster contest, a contest that must return someone with proven experience and recognition, an MP who will be listened to both in Parliament and in the constituency when making the essential case for independence.
